Halloween: Resurrection

Halloween: Resurrection might be the worst movie I've ever seen. What could have been kind of a cool idea-fake Michael Myers hanging around, not knowing the real Michael Myers is there too- was just stupid. I hated stupid Busta Rhymes and Tyra Banks. And the movie started with the clumsiest exposition outside of the beginning of a Babysitter's Club book. Jamie Lee is in the mental institute. One nurse asks the other who the patient is. The other nurse says, "Let me tell you about her." Cue flashbacks. UGH!! And it's not good-bad, which is excusable; it's boring, the cardinal sin for horror movies.

They should have quit after H2O - no, strike that, they should have quit after Halloween (the original).

While I haven't seen that movie in a while I have to agree with you. It was definately one of the worst movies ever. Tyra Banks should definately not act.

i have to agree that movie was pretty stupid...no duh he's going to be there in most of the movies he's there anyways! Tyra Banks needs to stick with modeling and talk-shows, she can't act at all!

Clearly Busta Rhymes delivers a tour de force in this film. He truly is the classic Hollywood star.

He acts, sings, dances, and does dodgy kung fu on lumbering serial killers... AND LIVES TO TELL THE TALE.

See? Clearly you are wrong.
A modern masterpiece.

I bet you've never seen a film from the 1950s, called " Homicidal"

See, backin those days, although we'd just survived a worl war, we weren't inured to shlock horror, like we are now.

So films like "Homicidal", and the original " Invasion of the Body Snatchers" were seriously scareee!!!

And as for " Psycho"! That one hit us like a bombshell. I can remember people screaming and actually fainting in the cinema. Not me tho, 'cos I had my arms around a chica at the time.
Be well, amiga, if I may cal you that.

I hated that one, too, and I was a BIG Halloween fan. I just watched Resurrection the other night--total bomb.

Hey, I've been using this to save me from bad movies, and lead me to good ones. Thanks! I was going to rent out resurrection for Halloween. Thanks for the save!

I caught part of this on cable the other day, but didn't bother to finish it. I decided to do laundry instead. My vote for worst movie ever has to go to this garbage I watched to other day called Captivity. Avoid it.

I dissagree with pax romano, they needed to make 5 movies to tell the whole story, but after that they should have thrown in the towel. That movie was REALLY, REALLY bad.

Yeah this movie is so horrible. The time of the slasher film is long over. With the exception of a few like Haute Tension and Hatchet recent slashers havent been the same since the early 80's.

I look at it like this, any time you throw well known "pop/hip hop" type actors/actress your movie especially horror is doomed for failure.

Go check out The Burning, or for that matter, just watch the original Halloween, Friday the 13th pt. 2 and 3, the Prowler...etc..

I couldn't agree with you more. How could any horror film with Busta Rhymes (no offense busta bust) be considered anything but a joke? Personally, the originally "Halloween" is probably my all-time favorite horror movie ever and this sequel is just no good. Mr. Carpenter was probably pretty irate himself upon seeing this. Halloween 2,4,5, and 6 (the producer's cut is a must see for any fan of the "Halloween" series) are good stuff, in my opinion. H20 I'm pretty much just neutral on, and H3: Season of the Witch is not a personal favorite.
